Designed by Alvar Aalto in 1936, the Umbrella Stand 115 is a classic that elegantly combines birch and brass. The frame of the stand is made of lacquered birch, and its triangular frames are hand-bent lamella loops. The base of the umbrella stand has a brass pan to collect drops of rainwater. Over a lifetime of use, the brass will develop a rich patina all of its own.
