Chair 611, designed by Alvar Aalto in 1929, is one of his earliest furniture designs and has been in continuous production ever since its creation. The chair features a solid birch frame with a seat and backrest that are saddle-stitched. Its light appearance is achieved through the use of a robust braided linen belt. Over time, Chair 611 can be easily reupholstered, allowing it to have multiple life cycles. It is versatile for use in various spaces and up to four chairs can be stacked when needed. The chair is delivered assembled, complete with installed felt glides.
