Armchair 42 is a classic designed by Alvar Aalto in 1932. This elegant armchair, also known as "Little Paimio", was originally designed for the Paimio Sanatorium. Armchair 42 is made of form-pressed birch plywood, which gives it a light and airy look. Since wood changes over time, the armrests are formed from a single piece that is then split in half, ensuring that as “Little Paimio” ages, it remains perfectly balanced. This chair offers comfort and sleek lines in equal measure.
